Visit RSE.org for Sesquicentennial Photos!

Only a small portion of the images from our weekend for the ages- the Sesquicentennial weekend which took place October 7-9, 2016 have been uploaded to our Alumni website. Many more photos will be coming soon, as we have over 200 photos from three photographers.

Many thanks again to RPI for helping to publicize our special weekend in their mailers, emails, and on their reunion and homecoming website. RSE History

John F. Alden, Class of 1872- Published in The Polytechnic, April 1, 1917

John F. Alden died at his home 50 Meigs Street, Rochester, N. Y., on February 27, 1917. He was born in Cohoes in March, 1852, and was a direct descendant in the eighth generation of John Alden of Plymouth Colony. He received his education in private schools in Albany, and then at the Institute, from which he graduated in 1872.  He was a member of the Pi Eta Scientific Fraternity while at the Institute.  (Editors Note"  Pi Eta was later renamed The Rensselaer Society of Engineers.)

RSE Library Chair Donation

While attending the RSE 150th Anniversary Celebration, Don Thoma ’83 noticed that the chairs in the RSE Library were in poor condition.  The Library experiences considerable usage during the school year. The current chairs were purchased as part of a Fall 2008 upgrade by The RSE Foundation and time has taken its toll.....
